Toddler & Children's House
Choosing a school for your child(ren) is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. The key is to match your family’s educational goals with the school’s mission and philosophy. Our enrollment process is designed to help you decide if Keystone and the Montessori philosophy is a good fit for your family.
The first step in our enrollment process is to attend an Online Information Meeting with our Admissions Director. During this 30-minute virtual meeting you will be introduced to the Keystone community, learn more about our classrooms and programs, and have the opportunity to ask questions about enrollment at Keystone. Families interested in joining the Keystone community will then complete an application which will be reviewed for admission into the program.
After your Online Information Meeting, you will be invited to schedule an in-person tour of the Keystone campus. Join us to take a peek into the beautiful Keystone classrooms, walk our five-acre campus, and see the difference a Keystone education will make for your children.
If you are not yet ready to schedule your Online Information Meeting, but would like our Admissions Director to contact you, please complete our online inquiry form below.
Toddler Program: We are now accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year.
Children's House Program: We are now accepting applications for our 2024-25 school year.
ACCEPTANCE
The most important factor to qualify an applicant for acceptance is the match between the family’s educational goals for the child and the Montessori philosophy. Qualified applicants are then selected for available spaces with a focus on maintaining a balance of genders and ages in each classroom. When a position is offered, you must secure the position with a nonrefundable tuition deposit equal to one half of the published monthly tuition within 3 business days or forfeit the position. If a space is not available, qualified applicants will be placed on the Toddler or Children’s House waiting list. Placement priority is given to children of staff members, siblings of current students, and families with a commitment to completing the three-year cycle. You will be notified by phone or e-mail when a space becomes available. Keystone Montessori does not discriminate between applicants on the basis of race, creed, national origin, or disabilities.
ENROLLMENT
If the parents and the educational team decide that enrollment is the right decision for everyone, the online enrollment information will be sent via email. All Toddler and Children's House students will be accepted on a conditional basis. Parents or Guardians may be asked to withdraw the student if Keystone Montessori determines, in its sole discretion, that the program is not meeting the student’s needs or that the student’s presence is having an adverse effect on the program.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Toddler Progam: Children must be 15 months old and walking steadily by the time of enrollment.
Children’s House Program: Children should be three years old by the time of enrollment and MUST be toilet trained.
PLACEMENT
True to the Montessori philosophy, classes are filled with an emphasis on balancing gender and ages. We strongly believe in the strength and integrity of all Keystone classrooms. It is the policy of Keystone Montessori School not to accept parent requests for specific classroom placements. Placement will be determined by the educational team.
