Children's House Peace Program

Children's House Peace Program

Each year at Keystone the Children's House students present the Peace Program to showcase their understanding and commitment to peace around the world. Dr. Maria Montessori is remembered for her contributions to the education of young children and is considered by many to be a founder of peace education. She believed that the root of peace lies in the education we give our children. Our Peace Program is inspired by Dr. Maria Montessori’s teaching and started many years ago. Through peace education, we provide the children with the tools they need to navigate the world peacefully. The children explore the concept of peace, and our Peace Program is a tribute to what they have discovered. They are intentionally taught global citizenship, respect for diversity, and personal responsibility. Through our Peace Program, the children will demonstrate their understanding of the role that each individual can play in bringing peace to the world.
