Red-Tailed Hawks - April Update

Happy Spring Red-tailed Hawk Families!

As we enter into the last few months of school, it is amazing to me how smoothly the year has gone. Our students are productive, cohesive and kind, and this was especially noticeable when we welcomed our new student Ava, to the classroom. It has been great to watch how quickly she was embraced into our community, and how easily she is making friends.

In class, we have been busy at work in a wide variety of subject areas. We are learning about the work of air, including wind patterns, air pressure and more. We took another walk to the post office to deliver more friendly letters, and we have a few precious plants popping up in our garden. The class movie was a big success and we had a great time at the Movie Premier. Our 3rd grade students will be taking the state tests next week, while our younger students will remain in class continuing their work with Ms. Beth.

We have a fieldtrip coming up on April 11th. We will be going to the Maricopa County Fair! We are currently reading Charlotte's Web as our read-aloud and this will be a great extension of that reading. We will be looking at exhibits, animals and crafts. More information will be coming home soon.

Our year-end camping trip is on Monday, May12th/Tuesday May 13th. If you were unable to attend our meeting regarding our trip last week, and have any questions, please feel free to email me. More detailed information will be coming out in a few weeks regarding the camp.

Thank you all for your support of the Red-tailed Hawks.

In peace and appreciation,

Mrs. Amie and Ms. Beth
