Iguanas - October Update

Dear Iguana Families,

Welcome to October! We are patiently waiting for some cooler weather. September was
with many researches, presentations, and our first going-outs. The children are developing skills to create beautiful research projects and learning to plan their going-outs. Library trips have started as well on Tuesdays. A note will be sent home if your child signs up and needs a booster seat.

Fall Break:

*Fall Break is October 7th-11th. Take this time to enjoy with your child. Enjoy something new together, bake together, or find time to explore nature!

*Our tarantula, Webster needs a home for Fall Break! She is very easy to take care of and very cool to observe. Please email us if you are interested. She can stay by herself for a couple of days if you need to travel.

October Observations and Parent-Teacher Meetings:

In October we have our yearly observations and teacher-parent conferences. You will receive an email to sign up. There will be two different emails; one for the observation and one for the conference. You will need to sign up for both. Please make sure you sign up for the observation first, so we can discuss what you observed at our meeting together.

October Gardening:

We love to start our gardening journey in October! This is such a fun and exciting time for the children. We will start planting seeds, watering every day, observing and eventually harvest. Then we will create yummy dishes from what we grow and try new foods! We kindly ask for donations at this time. Some things we need are: bags of soil, seeds (lettuce, spinach, carrots, radish ect.) plants (strawberry, tomatoes, snap peas) and flowers (plants or seeds) We thank you so much for your kindness.

October Important Dates:

October 25th: Early Release

Thank you to all the families for their constant support and gratitude!

Love,

Ms. Katty and Ms. Janelle
