Great Horned Owls - September Update

Dear Great Horned Owls Families,

As we move into September, we want to express our gratitude for your ongoing support and involvement. The Great Horned Owls classroom has been a hub of activity and joy, and we're thrilled to share some recent highlights and important upcoming dates.

On August 29th, our classroom was buzzing with excitement as the children eagerly welcomed Ms. Hellen from China. In anticipation of her arrival, the students made personalized greeting cards, deep-cleaned the classroom, and even bought her flowers. Ms. Hellen was deeply touched by their thoughtful gestures and is grateful to Mr. Stefan and the other Lower Elementary Guides for their incredible support throughout this month. Together, they presented a multitude of lessons, including all five Great Lessons, acrostic poems, Grammar Boxes, Parts of a Triangle, Division and Commutative Law, Polygons, and the Squares of Numbers with the Short Chains, Racks and Tubes (division) and various science lessons.

We want to extend a special thank you to Mss. Bahareh and Alejandra for fostering a cohesive classroom community, and to all the families who attended the Volunteer Training and our first Coffee Talk of the year. Additionally, Ms. Laura has enjoyed reading aloud to the children after recess. These past four weeks, they have completed the captivating adventures of "James and the Giant Peach" and the heartwarming tale of "The World According to Humphrey," sparking great discussions and imaginative thinking.

Please mark your calendars for the following important dates:
