Saguaros - March Update

Dear Parents,

This week, we embarked on an exciting exploration of renowned artists and their masterpieces. The children learned about Monet, Matisse, and Kandinsky, becoming familiar with their names and iconic works. Some of the pieces they studied included Van Gogh's Starry Night, Monet's Haystack in Winter, and Matisse's The Snail. Beyond admiring these artworks, the children had the opportunity to recreate them using pencils and paint. It was truly inspiring to see their creativity flourish as they engaged with these masterpieces.

As part of our Grace and Courtesy lessons in the Montessori curriculum, the children have been practicing the phrase, "Thank you for reminding me," when a teacher or friend offers a gentle reminder. These lessons support their independence, help them develop effective communication skills, and encourage respect for their peers and teachers.

Additionally, the children were delighted to attend C.S.I. Mother Goose Land, a captivating play performed by the Iguanas class. Featuring engaging poems and incredible costumes, the production kept the audience entertained from start to finish. A special highlight was seeing former Saguaros friends, now in elementary, performing on stage.

Finally, we extend our warmest congratulations to the Hubly family (Dorian's) on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Emily! Both mother and baby are doing well, and we couldn't be happier for them.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Ms. Yoo-Kyung
