Prickly Pears - October Update

What a fabulous week in the Prickly Pears classroom! Since the weather was nice during this week, the children had the opportunity to spend time in the outdoor environment during recess playing tag, playing in the playground structure, and riding the tricycles and scooters. We had the opportunity to review the rules for recess and practiced them diligently. Definitely, the children are so ready to absorb impressions from nature in the outdoor environment, and we want to start preparing it for them. Therefore, we are inviting our Prickly Pears parents to contribute with flower plants and soil to give the children the opportunity to embellish their outdoor environment. We are kindly asking for flower plants such as chrysanthemums, geraniums, lantanas, pansies, and heleniums. Thank you in advance for your kind support! Our observations and parents-teacher conferences are coming very soon. The Observations and Parents-Teacher Conferences Calendar will be placed in the sign-in/sign-out table on Monday, October 9th after Fall Break.  Please  sign up for your preferred day to schedule your observation and conference and  mark your date and time in your calendar. We are looking forward to meeting with you! We also want to reiterate our heartfelt gratitude for all the contributions made to materialize the Prickly Pears Raffle Basket and the Auction Art Project for our Keystone Fall Festival. Title: The Bank Description: Emma, Brayden and Matthew are performing dynamic addition utilizing the golden beads and corresponding small and large number cards (Math). 

 

Title: Subtraction Board Description: Kingsley is practicing the essential combinations of subtraction utilizing the Subtraction Board (Math). 

 

Title: The Roman Arch Description: Blake is working with The Roman Arch exercising his hand-eye coordination and stereognostic skills (Sensorial).
