Charter Programming

Charter schools are public, state-funded institutions that provide an alternative to traditional public schools. Established through legislation in 1994, they offer families additional academic choices.
Keystone Montessori’s Charter School serves students in grades 1–9. Granted its charter in 1999 by the State Board for Charter Schools, Keystone reports directly to this board. Due to strong retention and high demand for our Charter Elementary and Adolescent programs, we can only accommodate a limited number of students from our waiting lists each year.
New charter openings are filled from the waiting list using applications submitted during the Open Enrollment period. Children not selected during this time will remain on the waiting list. To be considered for the following school year, parents or guardians must complete and submit a new application to Admissions by January 1st. Applications do not automatically roll over to the next term.
It is highly recommended that interested families schedule an Online Information Meeting with our Admissions Director. This meeting provides an opportunity to learn about the Keystone community, explore classroom environments, ask questions, and gain insight into all that Keystone has to offer.
Keystone Montessori is committed to an inclusive admissions process and does not discriminate against applicants based on race, creed, national origin, or disability.
