Dear Saguaros Families,
Our Saguaros Family Social Potluck at the park was a wonderful success! It was a joy to spend time together outside the classroom and strengthen the connections within our classroom community. The children especially enjoyed playing with their friends and spending time with their families. A heartfelt thank you to our Class Keys, Christina Netherby, Holly Kellogg, and Tova Miller-Brooks, for thoughtfully organizing such a lovely gathering.
This Thursday, the children had the opportunity to contribute to our classroom auction project. They expressed their creativity with great enthusiasm, concentration, and joy. The project is coming together beautifully and reflects the unique contribution of each child. We sincerely appreciate the generosity and support of our families toward both the auction project and the raffle basket.
We would especially like to recognize Shawn Netherby, whose time, skill, and hard work made this classroom project possible. Shawn carefully prepared, cut, and sanded the materials for the children to use, creating the foundation for their work. We are truly grateful for the time and care he put into preparing everything for our classroom. A special thank you also goes to Felix Netherby and Leo Netherby, Saguaros alumni, who helped Shawn with the preparation. It was especially meaningful to have former Saguaros children contribute to a project for our current classroom community.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our Class Keys, as well as Katie Belec and Marie Tejeda, for generously sharing their time and care to help the children with the project. Thank you to everyone who contributed in so many different ways to make this special project possible.
Classroom observations and parent-teacher conferences will begin on October 20th. Following Fall Break, a sign-up sheet will be available at the sign-in/out table. Each appointment will consist of a 30-minute classroom observation followed by a 30-minute parent-teacher conference. We look forward to sharing your child’s progress and discussing their experiences in the classroom. Please sign up for a time that works best for your family.
For families whose children are enrolled in the Extended Program and will be attending during Fall Break, please remember to send a morning snack and an afternoon snack each day, in addition to your child’s lunch.
As we head into Fall Break, we wish you and your family a wonderful and restful time together. Thank you for your continued support and for being such an important part of our Saguaros community!
Warmly,
Ms. Yoo-Kyung
