Kindergarten Fly-Up Celebration

The Kindergarten Fly-Up Ceremony is a cherished tradition at Keystone Montessori, marking an exciting milestone as students transition from Children’s House into the Lower Elementary program. This meaningful event celebrates the growth, independence, and accomplishments of each child while honoring the journey they have taken throughout their early Montessori years.

On May 19th, students from the Saguaros, Prickly Pears, and Palos Verdes classrooms gathered with their families, guides, and staff to celebrate this important step in their academic journey. Dressed in their commemorative fly-up sashes, the Kindergarten students proudly accepted congratulations and recognition for all they have achieved during their time in Children’s House.

Each student received a certificate of accomplishment to commemorate the occasion and their readiness for the next stage of learning. The celebration concluded with the beloved “fly-up” tradition, where students made their way through the Children’s House hallway and onto the Elementary field, symbolizing their transition into Lower Elementary.

The move into Lower Elementary is a highly anticipated moment for Children’s House students, and this year’s ceremony was a joyful reflection of the strong community that supports them. Keystone extends heartfelt thanks to every family for allowing the us to be part of their children’s lives and educational journey.

Keystone is incredibly proud of its Kindergarten students and looks forward to continuing to support them as they begin their next chapter in the Montessori experience.
