March Update

Dear Parents,

This week, the children were introduced to the song Mango Fandango, and it has sparked great excitement in our classroom. Their interest naturally grew into conversations about different kinds of fruits. The children have been sharing what they know, asking thoughtful questions, and expanding their vocabulary. We are also joyfully singing “Apples and Bananas,” carefully listening to the changing vowel sounds as part of our language development. If you would like, please feel free to bring a fruit to share with the class as we continue exploring this topic together.

The children were also delighted to attend The Magic School Van, a play performed by the Iguanas class. The engaging performance and creative costumes kept everyone’s attention from beginning to end. A special highlight was seeing former Saguaros friends, now in Elementary, confidently performing on stage. It was a meaningful experience for our classroom community.

In our Grace and Courtesy lessons, we are working on learning to pause and reflect when a disagreement or social conflict arises. The children are being guided to take a moment, think about possible solutions, and consider how their words and actions affect others. Through modeling and role play, they are practicing how to communicate respectfully, problem solve, and seek support when needed. These experiences strengthen their independence, self regulation, and sense of responsibility within our prepared environment.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,
Ms. Yoo-Kyung
