February Update

Dear Parents,

The Annual Keystone Montessori Peace Program, presented by the Children’s House classes, will take place on Wednesday, February 11. Over the past several weeks, the children have been deeply engaged in exploring the meaning of peace and reflecting on how their words and actions contribute to creating a peaceful world. This special program is both a celebration of what they have discovered and a reflection of their growing understanding that each individual plays an important role in bringing peace to our community and beyond.

For the Peace Program, we kindly ask that children wear their best outfit and dress shoes. Your child may also choose to wear a cultural heritage outfit that reflects your family’s background. The program will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Please drop your child off at the front door at 5:45 p.m., then proceed to the gym to find a seat.

As many children have been experiencing runny noses and coughs, we have been practicing important self-care and hygiene skills in the classroom. The children are learning how to blow their noses, cover their mouths when coughing, sneeze into their elbows, and wash their hands thoroughly to help prevent the spread of germs.

We also celebrated Charlotte’s 6th birthday this week. Happy birthday, Charlotte! Thank you to Charlotte and her family for sharing special birthday treats with the class.

Regarding Valentine’s Day, the school has decided not to celebrate with the exchange of commercialized Valentine’s Day cards or candy. Please do not bring Valentine’s Day cards or candy to share with classmates. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership.

Sincerely,
Ms. Yoo-Kyung
