Welcome February!
As we start a new month, we look back on a joyful and busy January and welcome February. We had a wonderful start to the new year, and time continues to fly by as we learn, explore, and enjoy our days together. Our garden continues to flourish. The children have been continuously harvesting lettuce, kale, spinach, cilantro, and, recently, cherry tomatoes. We are happy to see some children eating more vegetables! Carrots and radishes are nearly ready to be harvested, and the children are excited to enjoy them soon.
Thanks again for the donations that helped us welcome our new classroom pet, Webby! A small group of children enjoyed a fun trip to Petco with Ms. Janelle to choose the perfect tarantula for our classroom. A big thank you as well to the Miramontes family for donating a cage, which is now being used by Gerdie, our leopard gecko, who needed a little extra space. Thank you, Layla and family! 🦎🕷️
Due to several children and teachers being ill, the overnight was canceled and rescheduled for a later date. We will share more information once a new date has been confirmed. We hope all of our children are feeling well and wish everyone good health.
Save the Date:
We want to informally invite you to our class play on February 26th at 6:00 in the gym. The children will receive their roles and their scripts soon. They will be practicing here at school and memorizing their lines with our help. You will receive more information later regarding costumes and all other information. Please save the date :)
