Dear Iguana Families,Welcome to October! We are anxiously awaiting the cooler weather. Thank you to our Class Keys and all the parents volunteers who came to help with our auction art project for the fall festival. The children loved the process and it is turning out beautiful. We can't wait to see the finished product.September Research Presentations:Max and Luca: Gems, Baseball and Komodo DragonsCecily and Molly: LynxesAudrey and Jackson: The Space and PenguinsEmily and Brianna: JapanEmmori and Aspen: PuppiesMena, Mathew and Layth: the EarthMena and Layth: Ancient EgyptPeter, Mayna and Natalia: BobaEthan: American BadgerCecily and Emmori: CapybarasOctober Observations and Parent-Teacher Meetings:In October we will be having our yearly parent classroom observations and parent-teacher conferences. You will be receiving an email next week to sign up. You will come for an observation in the classroom sometime during the morning and then you will come one afternoon to have a meeting to discuss the observation and your child's progress so far this year. It is important that you sign up for your observation on a day that is before your meeting, so if you have questions about the observation, they can be addressed at the meeting. Please look out for these emails next week.October Gardening:In October when the weather cools down, we like to begin our outdoor garden. This is a wonderful activity for the children. They will prepare the garden, plant seeds, water them, observe them grow and then harvest and eat! We will be asking for donations to help our garden. We are looking for garden soil, seeds (lettuce, spinach, carrots, radish) and plants (tomato or strawberries). We are excited to start this garden journey after fall break!Fall Festival:Fall Festival Tickets go on sale September 29th. Get your tickets early and join us at the Fall Festival.
