Dear Saguaros Families,
This week, the children joyfully worked on our classroom auction project. They loved channeling their creativity and artistic skills to create something truly beautiful. Thank you for your generous contributions to both the auction project and the raffle basket. A special thanks goes to our Class Keys, Christina Netherby, Daniela Kapadia, and Natalie Janus, for their dedication, and to Kerstin Bowen and Marie Tejeda for volunteering their time and energy to help bring this project to life.
With the arrival of fall, the children have been introduced to the changing seasons. They learned how the Earth orbits the sun and how the tilt of the Earth causes the seasons to change. Along the way, they have been introduced to new vocabulary such as northern hemisphere, southern hemisphere, orbit, and equator. They have also enjoyed listening to Vivaldi’s Autumn and exploring the sounds of the string family.
We are looking forward to our Classroom Social Potluck on Thursday, October 2nd, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at Desert Foothills Park. A sign-up sheet is available near the sign-in/out clipboard. Please take a moment to choose what you would like to contribute. These gatherings are always a joyful opportunity for the children to play, connect, and enjoy time together outside of school.
Lastly, a friendly reminder: if your child is enrolled in the extended day program during fall break, please pack a morning and afternoon snack along with their lunch.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Ms. Yoo-Kyung
