Happy New Year Families and Friends,
We have wasted no time in getting back into the swing of things. We have dived into lessons and the students have worked diligently to do follow up work and studies quickly. It seems that the break brought us all back refreshed and ready. We are wrapping up our studies on the Middle Ages and will start a large research project on the topic of their choosing to dive deeper into this time in history. Squaring and cubing binomials, trinomials and writing algebraic formulas for them seems to be a class favorite too. Geography experiments have taken place and some new seeds have been carefully planted outside as well. And we celebrated Emmerson’s birthday!
The most exciting event has been the addition of all our fish to the new aquarium. We Have 8 fish in total with 5 species and all were named too. So far they are getting along well!
Please check in with your student that they have all the materials needed for the second semester. In class they need a labeled USB, journal, record book, silent reading book (no more than 2), and a sketchbook.
