Dear parents of the Gila Monsters' classroom,
We have had a couple of busy weeks. Today a few students have a bake sale benefiting Family Promise. So there was a lot of baking going on these last days. In addition to that we had children baking their birthday treats, macaroons for a research presentation, and churros.
Some of the lessons that the children got over the past days were: shape poems, the negative form of the verb, multiplication of a fraction by a fraction, algebraic expression of squaring a binomial, divisibility of 3 and 9, total and lateral area of a prism, the expansion of the Roman Empire, functions of the roots of plants, the muscular system, one point perspective, erosion by ice, and a few more.
Presentations by the children over the past two weeks were on Japan, Italy, San Diego, Pumas, and Macaroons.
We wish all of you a wonderful and relaxing Holiday Season, time with family and friends, and a great start into the New Year.
