Dear parents of the Gila Monsters' classroom,
I hope you enjoyed some great time with family and friends at Thanksgiving. The children came back from the break eager to work this last Monday.
Some of the lessons the children got over the past two weeks were: Erosion by rivers, main rivers on our continent, the skeletal system, the Romans, lifting and salt rock technique with water colors, the auxiliary verb, noun clauses, mean, median, mode, total and lateral area of a pyramid, extracting a two digit cube root, recognizing metaphors, similes, and personifications, addition of fractions with different denominators, and divisibility of numbers by 3.
In our classroom meeting, the students decided on the play that they will present to you at the end of January. Please mark you calendars now. The date is January 29, 2018.
Some of the presentations by students were on Cars, Neptune, NHL, and Macaroons.
Hope that you are emjoying this time of the year.
