Dear Coyotes Families,
The students have been hard at work on their holiday research and presentations. It has been heartwarming to see all they have learned and how excited they are to share their information. All groups will share their information by giving an oral report, sharing a craft/game, and cooking a traditional holiday snack. We will be learning about Christmas, Chanukah, Eid, Epiphany (3 Kings Day), St. Lucia Day, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, Omisoka, New Year’s Day, and Diwali J
We have been writing Compare & Contrast Essays, and are working on organizing our writing in the best way. Other lessons have included 3-digit Cube Toot, the Decimal Chequerboard, Complex Sentences with subject & indirect object clauses, How Roots Prevent Erosion, Area of Triangles, Perspective Drawing, Crocheting, and the Compound Verb Tenses.
Next week, along with all our holiday presentations, we will be having our Holidays Around the World party, our White Elephant Gift Exchange, and the Keystone Montessori Solstice Program! For the last day of school (12/21) students can bring a food or drink item to share, & a wrapped white elephant gift ($5.00 or less if purchased).
