Dear Hummingbird Families,
“Do not erase the designs the child makes in the soft wax of his inner life.”
We will be preparing Artichoke Hummus for the month of March. The hummus key ingredients are: artichoke hearts, garbanzo beans, lemon, garlic, salt, and olive oil. The children will be using a small bullet blender to make the hummus. We will also have pitta bread and snap peas to accompany it.
We will introduce a new baking item after Spring Break. Here is our Banana Bread recipe and directions that our children have mastered.
- 2 large bananas
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/3 cup melted butter
- Mash bananas, add sugar, and the slightly beaten egg.
- Stir in butter
- Stir in dry ingredients
- Spoon into 2 small loaf pans
- Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees
At birth we have the POTENTIAL to develop fully. It is up to the environment we are in on how we develop. What do we mean by Environment?
- Living Being
- Non Living Being
- Physical, chemical, and all other natural forces
Things that we cannot see with our eyes impact our lives as well (emotions, stress, mind) An environment where the human being can find everything that he needs for his development. A place to grow, to evolve, to become a new person every moment of life till he arrives to be the person that he is meant to become. Every being needs their own u/nique special environment to develop, an environment that changes and evolves with the human.
“It is true that we cannot make a genius. We can only give to each child the chance to full fill his potential possibilities.”
