Red Tailed Hawks - 1st November Update

Hello Red-tailed Hawk Families,

Let me begin with a huge thank you to all of you for your support of the Red-tailed Hawks and Keystone at the Fall Fundraiser. I am continually amazed, inspired and appreciative of everything you do, from volunteering your time, your talents, your funds, and so much more! Once again, we were fortunate to have Mr. Matt Goebel donate some of his beautiful wood work to use with our project. We are truly grateful for his continued support throughout the years.

The next few weeks will be fun and productive. We will be continuing our classroom observations and conferences through mid-November. The students have enjoyed showing off our environment and hard work. On November 21st, the classroom will be having our Thanksgiving Feast lunch. This student-only meal will be planned and prepared by the students at school. In order for the students to do the shopping, we will be asking for a $7 donation. There will be no need to send in a lunch for your student on that day. A note will be coming home next week, with more explanation.

In class, we are continuing our Work of Water lessons, with "The Earth Pillar" and "The Work of Oceans". We have several researches finishing up, and many "going-outs" in the works. Our 3rd graders are working on informational writing, creating recipes for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Our younger students are enjoying letter writing, syllable work and more.

Have a great few weeks, and thank you again for all of your support!
