Red-tailed Hawks- 1st December Update

Hello again Red-tailed Hawk Families! I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and enjoyed the long weekend. We have been very busy in class, working on a variety of lessons. We have had a lot of renewed interest in the Periodic Table of Elements, which in turn, has reignited interest in science experiments. In language, we have been editing several stories, as well as studying helping verbs and list poems. There are several different geometry studies going on, including studies of polygons, angles, and lines.

Our newest class pet has been named. Ms. Prickle Pants (Prickles for short), our hedgehog, has settled in nicely into her new home. The students enjoy seeing her run on her wheel and cuddling with her during reading time.

As a reminder, our annual soup dinner and cookie exchange will take place on Wednesday, December 12th. This is always a fun evening and a great way to visit other families. More information on the event will be sent home on Monday, December 3rd

Have a nice weekend,

Mrs. Amie
