Hello Red-tailed Hawk Families!
Things are moving along nicely in the Red-tailed Hawks Classroom. In the past few weeks we’ve begun delving deeper into geography. Some of this work has been the Onion World and Composition Strip, population maps, states and capitals, and states and their abbreviations. We also have a variety of language and word study works happening, as well as money work and word problems.
Our room parent committee consists of a parent from each grade level. This year we have Erin (Ava’s mom), Gloria (Andres’ mom) and our veteran room parent Lala (Charlie’s mom). Thank you ladies, for sharing your time and talents this year. As the auction approaches, please keep an eye out for communication from the room parent committee (RPC?). We will be looking for donations and assistance with our auction basket and project. Also, if you would like to volunteer to help these ladies in any way, please feel free to email them to see how you can help.
Our first Community Meeting of the year is this Tuesday, September 18, 2018. It will be followed by a classroom meeting. Please be sure to attend both meetings to be up to date on this years’ events. Our classroom meeting will focus on geography in the Montessori elementary environment. All classrooms will cover the same topic, so there is no need to worry if you have children in multiple elementary classrooms.
Have a nice weekend and we hope to see you on Tuesday!
