Dear Iguana Families,
We have had a busy week with many lessons given. The older children were given a lesson on the Animal Kingdom and they are working on 2 and 3 digit multiplication. Everyone was given the lesson of Parts of a Straight Line. We are starting a project in geometry where the children will be collecting different geometry designs and activities they will be and have been working on and will be making a beautiful book out of them. We are starting to give each child a lesson on the Tone Bars we have in the classroom. They have really enjoyed learning and playing them! We will be doing more with them as the year goes on. In writing club, some children are writing paragraphs on “How-To”. They are choosing a topic and writing a paragraph on how to properly do or make something. They have been really creative in their responses. Also, our new students are starting to get lessons on poetry and will be making a poetry book of their own. Lots of stuff going on!
We will be starting our hiking season in February. Please keep an eye out for updates and permission slips for those hikes.
Have a wonderful weekend,
