Dear Iguana Families,
What a great time we had at the Potluck last Friday. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the delicious food and other contributions. A special thanks to our Key Moms for setting everything up. It was a great success!
In the classroom, we have been working hard. Some children are learning Types of Fractions and how to convert improper fractions into proper fractions. More children have been given the lesson on the Bank Game; it is a huge hit in the class. The children have enjoyed this fun math lesson. A lot of the students are still hard at work memorizing their multiplication facts. A new science experiment was also given this week; Attraction/Gravity. The children are using the scale to experiment and compare different weights. Our new writing topic this week has been writing about what you would like for Christmas. Not in list form, but in paragraph form! The story of Human Beings and the Hand Timeline were also presented this week. These lessons inspire a sense of gratitude for the gifts given to us.
If you would like to take care of Gertie our lizard, Webster our tarantula or our plants over the Holiday Break, please email Ms. Katty or Ms. Janelle and let us know ASAP. First come, first serve. Our plants and animals are easy to care for and full of love :)
Remember: Next Friday the 21st is a half day. No childcare provided that day.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Katty and Ms. Janelle
Emery, Cicily and Emili giving a lesson to the class on how to write a proper letter.
