Great Horned Owls- 1st February Update

Hello parents,

Our overnight on January 24thwas a big success! It is so nice to see many children being responsible for their belongings, setting up and packing away their sleeping bags and clothing. Some children mentioned that they practiced at home beforehand, and it showed! As you know, the overnight was in preparation for the year-end trip, where one responsibility is to take ownership of their belongings, making sure they can pack their own bags. So, it is not too late for your child to start (or continue) practicing!

We will be going to Tonto Creek Camp this year, from May 15-17, 2019. We are excited to be in northern Arizona, taking in the beauty of the pines and cooler weather, while learning about the environment around us. We will be talking more about the year-end trip at our next classroom meeting on March 19, 2019.

We have begun practicing our play. The children helped to create it, writing out the script and adding their own personal touches! We casted it this week and they are busy memorizing their lines. We will be blocking soon, and using the stage to practice. They will also be busy, figuring out costumes, creating the backdrop and props. We look forward to sharing it with you at our next potluck on February 27th

Please enjoy some photos from the overnight!
