Dear Parents,
This week, the children were invited to the Art Walk which presented art exhibits from the elementary and adolescent classrooms. We appreciated their enthusiasm about their art pieces which they shared about in short presentations. The children were inspired by the different paintings, sculptures, and crafts. In addition, the children had the pleasure of attending the Scorpion’s play about biomes. The play contained many fun songs and amazing costumes which kept the children interested and attentive. The children were also thrilled to see previous Saguaros friends who are now in elementary.
The Peace Program was a great success! The children explored the concept of peace, and their beautiful presentations were a tribute to their discoveries. They proudly demonstrated their hard work on stage. I think we can all agree that they looked adorable. The children have been looking forward to sharing their presentations with you all, and we hope that you enjoyed the evening. This year, the children memorized Martin Luther King Junior's speech, "I Have a Dream.” Then they recited a Spanish poem and introduced many greetings from different languages. We finished our presentation with a song titled “We Are Unity.”
We are planning to have picnic lunches on Fridays on the playground. Please make sure that your child's lunch does not include any microwaveable items on Fridays. Thank you!
Finally, if you and your family are interested in hosting Blue Rose, Blueberry, and Blue Sky (our classroom pet birds) over Spring Break, please let Ms. Yoo-Kyung know! Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Ms. Yoo-Kyung
