Toddler/Children's House Enrollment Process
Steps in Our Admissions Process for the TODDLER AND CHILDREN'S HOUSE level:

INQUIRY
Carefully review the Mission statement and Blueprint found on the Website.

OPEN HOUSE
Prospective parents (without their child) must attend an open house. Whenever possible, we prefer that both parents attend the open house. Please see Open House Calendar for Open House dates. This one and one half hour meeting includes an overview of Montessori, questions and answer session and a tour of the facility.
OBSERVE IN A CLASSROOM
After attending an open house, please contact the Admissions Coordinator to schedule a 30 minute classroom observation (without your child).

INTERVIEW
After the classroom observation, the prospective family will notify the Admissions Coordinator if they wish to pursue a Montessori education for their child. At that time a 30 minute interview will be scheduled with a member of the educational team. Whenever possible, we strongly suggest both parents attend the interview (without their child).

APPLICATION
  • Completed enrollment application
  • $150.00 nonrefundable application fee
  • Completed blue emergency card
  • Copy of immunization records
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Signed Parent Handbook Agreement
  • Record request (where applicable)

ACCEPTANCE
The most important factor to qualify an applicant for acceptance is the match between the family's educational goals for the child and the Montessori philosophy. Qualified applicants are then selected for available spaces with a focus on maintaining a balance of genders and ages in each classroom. When a position is offered, you must secure the position with a nonrefundable tuition deposit equal to one half of the published tuition within 3 business days or forfeit the position. If a space is not available, qualified applicants will be placed on the Toddler or Children's House waiting list. You will be notified by phone or e-mail when a space becomes available.

PLACEMENT
True to the Montessori philosophy, classes are filled with an emphasis on balancing gender and ages. We strongly believe in the strength and integrity of all Keystone classrooms. It is the policy of Keystone Montessori School not to accept parent requests for specific classroom placements. Placement will be determined by the educational team.
